NMC Specialty (‘NMCS’) Hospital Abu Dhabi, the JCI-accredited multi-specialty tertiary care hospital, is pleased to announce that Dr. B Venkata Ratnam, a Plastic Surgeon based at NMCS Hospital Abu Dhabi has received the prestigious ‘NH Anta Award for Best Publication’ from the Association of Plastic Surgeons, India (‘APSI’). The Award was given for his research work on the condition and treatment of abnormal male breast development (“Gynaecomastia”) and was presented at the gala evening, part of the 46th Annual ASPS conference that was held at Ciombatore, India, 8th September 2011.
The NH Antia Award is presented annually by the APSI to plastic surgeons of Indian origin for Best Publication in Indexed Journals. Dr Venkata Ratnam’s research work was entitled “A new classification and treatment protocol for Gynaecomastia” and was conducted over a seven year period. It was published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal[1], a prestigious, peer-reviewed and indexed international journal and the official publication of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
